22 people killed in fire in Voronezh boarding school

Rescuers arrivibg at the scene managed to contain the fire, but the building was not saved. "The fire destroyed the building of the neuropsychiatric boarding school, the area of damage is 15x40 m," RIA Novosti quotes the message of the Voronezh region’s EMERCOM.
Unfortunately, there were casualties. "The death toll has reached 22 people, another one is missing," the central regional center of the Emergency Situations Ministry reports.
At the same time, 57 people were managed to be rescued. ‘’Currently 23 people are hospitalized, two of them were taken to Voronezh. One was taken to a burn center, the others to intensive care," the regional clinical center of disaster medicine reports, adding that the state of those who were brought to Voronezh is serious.
Later it became known that the number of victims of the fire rose. ‘’23 people were killed as a result of the emergency situation. The situation with victim assistance is under control, 3 of the 23 affected are located at the regional hospital, and the rest in the Borisoglebskaya district hospital. All are provided with the necessary medicines, there is no threat to their lives,’’ Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets said.
