Children nearly burnt in school bus in Stavropol region

A school bus on its way to Stavropol with children has caught fire in Stavropol Territory.

It is known that there were 19 students of a boarding school on the bus. At around 10:00 AM they were on their way from the Balahonovskoe Kochubeevsky district to Stavropol in order to participate in celebrations. About two hours later, the driver smelled something burning and made an emergency stop. The teachers immediately evacuated the children, and then the bus started burning.

By the time the emergency services arrived at the scene the bus completely burnt out. The cause of the fire was the electrical wiring of the bus. The children waited in a nearby cafe until another school bus picked them up, Interfax reports.
