Dog finds 100 kg of explosives near gas pipeline in Turkey, media reports

Police search dog Elma found about 100 kilograms of explosives near the town of Nusaybin in Turkey's Mardin province. Turkish media reported, citing a source in law enforcement authorities.

The explosive was found in two containers buried in the ground, next to which the 400-meter cable and detonators were located. According to police, terrorists of the banned in Turkey Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) planned to blow up the Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline, through which Turkey recieves Iraqi oil, RIA Novosti reported.
