East-West Pipeline launched in Turkmenistan
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe East-West Pipeline, that will be used for delivering Turkmen gas to Europe in the future, was launched in Turkmenistan today.
The pipeline runs from the Shatlyk gas compressor station in Mary province [Turkmenistan’s largest gas fields Galkynysh and Dovletabad are located there] to the Belek gas compressor station in the western Balkan province.
The gas pipeline will transport natural gas to the country’s other gas pipelines, Trend reports.
Earlier, the European Commission’s Vice President for Energy Union, Maros Sefcovic, said that the EU expects to receive Turkmen gas in 2019.
