State Council meeting on education

Today President Vladimir Putin urged at a meeting of the State Council to make Russian schools the best in the world. In particular, he proposed creating a nationwide system of professional development of teachers and effective mechanism for material and morale-boosting incentives to encourage teachers’ work in order to achieve this goal.
