British actor donates $1 million to help Syrian refugees

British comic actor Sacha Baron Cohen and his wife Isla Fisher have donated $1 million to help Syrian refugees.

Half of the sum was directed to the Save the Children program in order to vaccinate children against measles in Syria. The remaining $500,000 was donated to the International Rescue Committee humanitarian organization that helps Syrian refugees. It was founded by former British Foreign Secretary David Miliband, RIA Novosti reports.
