Kazakhstan approves 2016-2020 privatization plan

The government of Kazakhstan has approved the comprehensive privatization plan for 2014-2016, under which the share of state participation in the economy will be reduced to 15%, Kazakh National Economy Minister, Yerbolat Dosayev, said.

According to him, after the implementation of this plan 65 largest companies, owned by the Republic, as well as by the National Welfare Fund 'Samruk-Kazyna', the national holdings 'Baiterek' and 'KazAgro', will be privatized.

In addition, the shares of 173 subsidiaries and affiliates will be sold to private investors, TASS reports.

Also, 545 government organizations and communal property objects will be transferred in the competitive environment through privatization.
