Conference on human rights in the North Caucasus takes place in Pyatigorsk

An international conference "Interaction of the state and civil society in the realization of human rights in the North Caucasus" was held today in the town of Pyatigorsk in Stavropol Territory, Grozny Inform reports.

The conference was a response to the call of President Medvedev to consolidate the efforts of government bodies, local authorities and civil society entities in Russia in the realization of human rights in the North Caucasus.

 
The participants include the heads of legislative bodies in the North Caucasus, representatives of human rights organizations, civil society, academics, experts, specialists in law, policy and management.
