Erdogan: Turkish security forces killed 3100 terrorists in 2015

Turkish security forces killed 3100 Kurdish militants in 2015, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

"In 2015, about 3100 terrorists were killed in the country and abroad during operations. But more than 200 members of the Turkish security forces were killed and it's a great pain for us. The Turkish state has sufficient power, determination and facilities to defeat the terrorist organization. Our soldiers are and will be further clearing mountains and cities," RIA Novosti cited the president as saying.

A large-scale security offensive was launched by the police and the military in tense southeastern districts such as the Sur district of Diyarbakir, Cizre, Silopi, Nusaybin and Dargeçit districts.
