Frosty January awaits Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, as part of its January forecast, predicts the arrival of cold weather in Baku and the Absheron peninsula.

According to the Ministry, the average January temperature in the capital district will be 3 to 5 degrees above zero, but on some days it might drop to -3 to -8 degrees below zero and rise to 7 to 12 degrees above zero. Precipitation over the last month is expected to be 18-22 mm, abc.az reports.
