Israel calls Putin as man of the year

The majority of participants of a survey conducted in Israel by local newspaper the Jerusalem Post has named Russian President Vladimir Putin as the 'Man of the Year'.

29% of participants stick to this viewpoint. 16% voted for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, 15% for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and only 2% for President Barack Obama and Pope Francis. 33% could not give a definite answer, RIA Novosti reports.
