Moratorium on inspections of small and medium-sized businesses comes into force in Russia

The law on a moratorium on planned inspections of small and medium-sized businesses came into force in Russian today.

"If supervisory holidays show their effectiveness, a further three-year measure may be done on a permanent basis,’’ Gazeta.ru cites the head of the department of state regulation of the economic development of Russia, Alexey Hersontsev.

The moratorium does not apply to such types of state supervision as fire, environment, radiation, monitoring for the protection of state secrets and supervision in the field of nuclear energy.

It will be valid until December 31st, 2018.
