International deals on satellite networks, postal services signed in Baku

The Russian Communications Administration and the Intersputnik International Organization of Space Communications have signed an agreement in Baku. The deal will entrust the Russian Communications Administration to represent in the International Telecommunication Union the interests of communication administrations of Intersputnik member-countries in terms of acquiring radio frequencies in the
satellite networks of Intersputnik, Trend reports.

The agreement was signed during the 43rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Administrations of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC). The agreement was signed by Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Igor Shchegolev and director general of Intersputnik Vadim Belov.

The agreement was signed within the cooperation program in the field of postal communication between the RCC and the Pan African Postal Union for 2011-2016. This agreement provides for cooperation in the field of postal management to manage and improve the quality of operational service in accordance with the requirements of the market, to exchange experience in such areas as banking and electronic products and services, to coordinate strategies and measures to combat fraud, to develop traditional and new services of postal communication, etc.
