CIS studies in Moscow State University

Director of the Center for Caucasus studies of the Russian State Humanitarian University  Ismail Agakishiev called the History Facultyof Moscow State University  "the flagship of historical studies in Russia", Trend reports.

"In the past 50 years, it was the first to open a department on history of the CIS countries, including the history of Azerbaijan," he said.

According to him, the department was opened on the initiative of the Dean of the History Faculty of Moscow State University Sergey Karpov, the rector of Russian State Humanitarian University Efim Pivovar and Deputy Dean of the History Faculty of Moscow State University Alexei Vlasov.
