Accident leaves 50 thousand people without electricity in Chechnya

In Chechnya, residents of five districts - Shatoyskiy, Sharoyskiy, Itum-Kalinskiy, Grozny Rural and Shalinskiy, 50 thousand people in total - were left without electricity due to a fault in the transformer substation 'Tsemzavod', the regional emergency department reported.

"One of the two transformers broke down at the substation 'Tsemzavod', the second one was off for maintenance works," - TASS cites the report.
