Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe League of Arab States (LAS) has expressed its condemnation regarding the attacks on embassies and consulates of Saudi Arabia in Tehran and Mashhad, carried out by Iranian demonstrators protesting against the execution of Shiite preacher Nimr al-Nimr.
These attacks "are a flagrant violation of international norms," the secretary general of the organization Nabil Elaraby stated.
"The Iranian government is responsible for the protection of these representative offices in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961," TASS quoted him as saying.
Nabil Elaraby reminded about inadmissibility of interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries. "None of the parties has the right to comment on judicial decisions of sovereign states," the diplomat stated.
