OPCW confirms Syrian chemical weapons destruction

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) announced that Syrian chemical weapons have been destroyed.

A facility in Texas completed the disposal of 75 cylinders of hydrogen fluoride.

"This process has closed an important chapter in the elimination of Syria's chemical program," Gazeta.ru cited OPCW Director-General, Ambassador Ahmet Uzumcu, as saying.
