Baku strengthens safety measures near embassies of Iran and Saudi Arabia

Azerbaijan has strengthened safety measures near the embassies of Iran and Saudi Arabia in Baku.

This decision was taken by the authorities in view of the increasing tensions between Tehran and Riyadh after the execution of Shiite preacher Nimr al-Nimrah, ANS informs.

Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakayin said in an interview that the actions of Saudi Arabia violate human rights, adding that the world Ummah expects a reaction to these actions and assessments in the framework of international law from the members countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan Musaid bin Ibrahim bil Abdullah Al-Salim noted that the authorities of his country expressed a sharp protest against the aggressive statements of Iran, accusing Tehran of supporting terrorism.
