Maria Zakharova: Pyongyang's test of hydrogen bomb is a flagrant violation of the UN Security Council resolutions

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, made an official statement about the message of the DPRK test of a hydrogen bomb.

"If the fact of the test is confirmed, it would be a new step of Pyongyang to the development of nuclear weapons, which is a flagrant violation of international law and the existing UN Security Council resolutions. These actions could exacerbate the situation on the Korean peninsula, which is already characterized by a very high potential of a military-political confrontation,’’ Zakharova warned.
