Free industrial zone in Poti postpones opening

has been postponed for a fourth time. A spokesman for the zone said
that the decision to postpone the opening is due to organizational
issues and that the opening will be held in December this year,
Georgian media reports.
The official said that the presentation is a formal event. The free
industrial zone started operating on November 15 when the tax service
was given control over the new customs complex with modern equipment.
There are 26 companies operating in the free industrial zone. Foreign
investors from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, the UAE, Ukraine, Iran and
the Czech Republic are represented in the industrial zone.
