Disaster threatens Moscow

Bad weather has forced the Hydrometeorological Center in Moscow to announce an 'amber' threat level. This is the penultimate level in the system adopted in Russia that means the probability of natural disasters and damage in the capital.

Heavy snow and snowstorms are expected in Moscow tomorrow. In addition, snowdrifts, wet snow and ice-covered ground are possible tomorrow.

A deterioration in the weather conditions is also expected in most parts of the Central Federal District. The same threat level was announced in the Ryazan, Orel, Lipetsk, Tambov, Kursk and Voronezh regions. Heavy snow is also expected in the Belgorod region, RIA Novosti reports.
