Earthquake occurs in southern Iran

An earthquake occurred last night in the vicinity of the Iranian city of Bairam in the southern province of Fars.

Its magnitude was 4.2 on the Richter scale. The tremors were registered at 23:44 (MSK), Trend reports with reference to the center of seismography of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University.

There is currently no information on casualties or damage.
