Mutko: Topic of new host country of the 2018 World Cup is closed

Minister of Sports of Russia, the president of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Vitaly Mutko has stated that the topic of a new host country of the world football championships in 2018 and 2022 in the Russian Federation and Qatar was closed by the executive committee of FIFA, the process of organizing the world championship in Russia is irreversible.

"There are no reasons and evidence to review the decision on the venue of the World Championships in Russia and Qatar. This theme was closed by the FIFA Executive Committee,'' RIA Novosti cites Mutko as saying.
