Russian Embassy awards Azerbaijani media for supporting cooperation between two countries
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaYesterday the Russian Informational and Cultural Center in Baku hosted the ceremony of awarding diplomas 'for creative contribution to the coverage and support of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation', which was awarded to a number of Azerbaijani media by the Russian Embassy.
Among them were Interfax-Azerbaijan, Trend, 'The Republic' newspaper, 'New Time', 'Azerbaijan News', the Russian TASS office in Azerbaijan, the AzTV and Space television channels, the magazine 'Russian language and literature in Azerbaijan' and Region Plus.
Speaking at the event, the head of 'Rossotrudnichestvo' in Azerbaijan, Valentin Denisov, emphasized the important role of the Azerbaijani press in the development of relations between the two countries and thanked local media for their cooperation with the Russian Informational and Cultural Center.
Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Russia, Oleg Murashev, thanked the Azerbaijani journalists for unbiased coverage of relations between the two countries. "Our diplomats begin and end their working day with review of materials of the Azerbaijani press," Region Plus quoted him as saying.
