China plans to build a railway to Iran

The government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China (Northwest China) is planning to start developing a project for the construction of a railway to Iran, the Chinese newspaper China Daily reports.

The new branch will also be constructed through the territories of Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Tass reports.
