Azerbaijan celebrates 100th anniversary of academician Vali Akhundov

In May 2016 100 years are marked since the birth of the outstanding scientist and well-known political figure of Azerbaijan, academician Yusif oglu Veli Akhundov. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on holding the 100th anniversary of the academician.

Working for many years in the most senior positions in the public administration, Veli Akhundov exercised commendable activities as a medical scientist contributed to the organization of a health care in the country, Trend reports
