Meat prices in Armenia don't rise
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe price for meat products didn't go up in Armenia in the New Year holidays, the National Statistical Service of the Republic said.
In December 2015 the prices for meat products in Armenia remained almost unchanged in comparison with November. Prices for chicken and poultry meat rose by 0.3%, beef by 1%, khash by-products by 12.2%. At the same time, prices for pork fell by 5%, chicken legs by 2.6%, mutton by 1.5% and semi-smoked sausages by 0.7%, NEWS.am reports.
Overall, the prices for meat went down by 3.7% over 12 months (from December 2014 to December 2015).
According to National Statistical Service surveys conducted among households, in the last 4 years the percentage of expenditure on meat and meat products slightly fell in the consumer goods basket. According to surveys conducted in 2010, it was about 10.2%, the number has reached 9.6% pursuant to the results of 2014.
