Sochi starts construction of bobsleigh track

Sochi has started construction of a bobsleigh track, Yuga.ru reports.

According to the press service of Olympstroy, workers have started
construction of a foundation for the track. The first grip has already
been concreted.

Olympstroy's press service said the company is working on
documentation of the track and engineering calculations for the water
system. The track will run from the Aigba Ridge near the village of
Krasnaya Polyana .

The highest point of the track will be 836 meters above sea level, the
lowest will be 704 meters. The track run 1814 meters and will have
cooling systems, protection, electricity networks, water systems and
sewers.

A. Mostovik is the contractor of the state corporation Olympstroy,
responsible for construction of the track.

The International Bobsleigh and Tobogganning Federation will provide
the technical expertise for the track. Specialists of European
companies with experience of constructing Olympic facilities will also
take part.
