Ilham Aliyev meets head of presidential administration of Iran in Davos
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaYesterday, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has met with the head of presidential administration of Iran, Mohammed Nahavandian, in Davos.
The two sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of dynamically developing bilateral ties. Ilham Aliyev conveyed congratulations on the occasion of the lifting of sanctions against the Islamic republic to the president and the people of Iran, noting that it will contribute to a more rapid development of cooperation between Baku and Tehran in all areas. He also stressed that the Azerbaijani-Iranian relations not only serve the interests of the two countries, but also contribute to the further strengthening of stability and security in the region.
Mohammed Nahavandian, while stressing the empowerment of Iran after the lifting of sanctions, stated that by using this, Azerbaijan and Iran can implement new projects with the participation of other countries to further expand cooperation.
The parties also noted the importance of consolidation of efforts in the fight against terrorism in terms of strengthening of security and stability in the region, Trend reports.
