Turkey provides Georgian army with technical means worth $1.5 million

The Turkish General Staff has provided the Georgian Defense Ministry
with material and technical support. The Georgian Defense Ministry
told Trend that the technical support worth $1.5 million was provided
according to the agreement on military grant of 2005. In particular,
Georgia received 8 units of vehicles various types of engineering.

The Georgian Deputy Defense Minister Nodar Harshidaze reminded about
the fruitful logistics cooperation between Georgia and Turkey and
thanked for support.

The Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Levent Murat Burkhans said that the
two countries cooperate in logistics and education. The event is part
of the annual Turkish aid to Georgia, he noted.
