Social Council operating in NCFD

The presidential envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, Alexander Khloponin, will meet with the candidates for the Social Council in the region in Essentuki.

The founding structure will have many responsibilities. Acoording to the envoy, the Council will be the main mediator between the society and the power. Moreover, it will deal with anti-corruption structures. "Because we can't strive against corruption only via state forces, it is ineffective", said Khloponin.

The Council is a step on the way to the sound net of civil society structures in the North Caucasus. The social activists developed their own ideas on improving social and political situation in the regions. Main goals of the Council were defined.
