Putin: the Caucasus has enormous tourism potential

Speaking at the ONF Stavropol interregional forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin compared the Russian Caucasus to the Austrian city of Tyrol.

"I think that this year the southern part of Russia received more tourists in comparison with Tyrol. The city of Tyrol is a very nice and beautiful place where wonderful people live," he said.

According to Putin, "we have enormous potential in the republics of the Caucasus," so the travel experience of Tyrol can and should be adopted, Tass reports.
