Agreement on simplification of visa regime between Iran and Russia comes into force

"Businessmen, persons participating in scientific, cultural and artistic activities, students, teachers, tourists and other categories of citizens will have a simplified regime for obtaining Russian and Iranian visas,'' the statement reports.
It is worth noting that the intergovernmental agreement was signed in late November during a visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Tehran. In addition, the Iranian authorities began to issue 30-day arrival visas at airports for tourists from Russia and 57 countries, thereby stimulating the tourism business in the country.
