Georgian Defense Ministry discusses NATO summit
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Georgian Defense Ministry held a meeting to discuss the results of
the NATO summit in Lisbon, the new NATO concept, strategy and policy
of the alliance, News Georgia reports, citing the press service of the
ministry.
The meeting was opened by Dave Johnson, the representative for the
directorate of defense policy and planning of the International
Secretariat of NATO. He said that such meetings will be systematical.
The military advisor of the NATO mission in Georgia Shalva
Dzebisashvili and Jurgen Schwartz, head of the management for regional
security and special partner cooperation of NATO, had talks on
cooperation between Georgia and NATO about the goals of partnership
and the civil and military structure of the alliance.
Besides officials of the Defense Ministry and the United Staff, there
were also officials from other state structures of Georgia.
