Trans-Caucasus capitals included in top five CIS destinations for Russians

The tourist service Travel.ru has defined the most popular destinations in the CIS countries among Russian tourists in 2016, based on this year’s data of CIS hotel bookings by Russian tourists.

The list of top ten popular cities among Russian tourists includes Minsk, Tbilisi, Yerevan, Baku, Kiev, Almaty, Tashkent, Chisinau, Astana, and Vitebsk.

"The number of Russians’ online reservations in CIS countries rose by 20% in comparison with the past year," abc.az cited the communications director of the online booking service, Jacob Sadchikov, as saying.

The top ten most popular CIS countries are Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
