Ship with refugees sinks near Turkish coast

Today, a boat transporting refugees from Syria to neighboring Greece sank off the coast of Turkey, the Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah reports.

The ship was travelling in the direction of the Greek island of Lesbos, and sank near the town of Ayvacik, resulting in the deaths of at least ten people, including five children, RIA Novosti reported.

During the rescue operation, the Turkish Coast Guard rescued 43 people, who were taken to hospitals.
