Azerbaijan and UAE agree to cooperate in field of maritime transport and ICT

Representatives of Azerbaijan and the UAE have signed two documents in Dubai. The governments of the two countries signed an agreement on institutional cooperation in the sphere of maritime transport. The Azerbaijani Communications Ministry and the Chief of the department on regulation of the telecommunications sector of the UAE signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies.

The signing ceremony was held after a meeting in the extended format with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and the Emir of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, AzerTaj reports.

Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev signed the document from the Azerbaijani side, and Minister of State for the  Cabinet Mohammed Abdullah Al Girgavi from the United Arab Emirates.
