Ilham Aliyev meets with Greek Foreign Minister

During the meeting the head of state expressed confidence that this visit would be important in terms of strengthening relations between the two countries. Stressing the ties between Azerbaijan and Greece, he noted that during the visit issues related to the further development of cooperation in a number of fields would be discussed. The President reminded about the official visits of two Greek presidents to Azerbaijan and his two official visits to Greece, describing this as a good indicator of the relations between the states. Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of further developing bilateral ties.
Nikolaos Kotzias, in his turn, noted that Azerbaijan and Greece have long histories and unique cultures. He stressed the significance of effectively using this potential for further development of relations.
The sides exchanged views over the development of bilateral ties between the two countries in a variety of fields, the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and other issues, Trend reports.
