Turkey has no plans for military ground operation in Syria

Turkey isn't planning a major land-based military operation in Syria via its territory, Turkish media report.

"Recent media reports saying 150,000 troops will enter Syria via Turkey in order to aid in anti-Daesh operations are not true," Interfax cited a source in the Turkish government as saying.

However, "Turkey is open for operations against Daesh and ready to cooperate in this sphere," the government added.
