Ukraine refuses Russian gas during this heating season

Today the Minister of Energy and the Coal Industry of Ukraine, Vladimir Demchishin, said after a government meeting that Ukraine wouldn't buy natural gas from Russia during this heating season.

"There is no need to buy Russian gas during this heating season in the following year. And we have a very large chance that we won't buy it next year,'' Tass cites him as saying.
