EU to allocate Azerbaijan grants for human rights development

The head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Malena Mard, said that the European Union and Azerbaijan are going to sign a strategic partnership agreement acceptable to both sides.

According to her, the agreement will cover such cooperation areas as the economy, trade, human rights and democracy.

Mard also added that Azerbaijan will be given grants for ensuring the development of the rule of law, justice and districts.

“The grants, which are part of the European Neighborhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership, will amount to 75 to 90 million euros,” News.az cited Mard as saying.
