Center of Astronomy and Space to open in Krasnodar

The Center of Astronomy and Space is to open in Krasnodar this year. It is to be created at the Russian Geographical Society (RGS), led by the head of the Kuban State University Observatory (Kuban State University) Alexander Ivanov.

"The decision was taken on January 14th at a meeting of the coordinating council of the Krasnodar branch of the Russian Geographical Society. The document for the registration of the center has already been sent to the president of the organization Sergei Shoigu," Kuban 24 cites him as saying.
