President of Syria fears Saudi-Turkish intervention

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has stated that there is a risk of intervention of Turkish and Saudi troops into the country, Reuters reports.

''The battle for Aleppo is aimed at closing the road to Turkey,'' Assad said, adding that he was ready to negotiate for peace and at the same time to fight against terrorists, Gazeta.ru reports.
