British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, at the 52th Munich Security Conference, stated that Daesh and the migration crisis require joint efforts from Europe, the head of the European bureau of Vestnik Kavkaza, Orhan Sattorov reports.

"We have to protect ourselves from uncontrolled migration and the threat of terrorism. At the same time, the creation of a 'Maginot Line' and shutting ourselves off from the Middle East with a wall will not succeed, I think," he said.

Hammond praised Russia's contribution to the fight against Daesh in Syria. "I have no doubt that the combined efforts of the international coalition, including with the participation of Russia, will lead to success in this fight," the Minister noted.
