EU partially lifts sanctions against Belarus and President Lukashenko

The EU Foreign Affairs Council partially lifted restrictive measures at meeting in Brussels today in respect of Belarus, including President Alexander Lukashenko, a source in the council reports.

"Sanctions were removed against 170 individuals and three entities,'' Interfax cites the source as saying.
