The speaker of Russia’s Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, said that Russia is not planning to build an 'Iron Curtain' and leave the international legal space.

According to her, excessive external pressure has been exerted against Russia lately and a real political information war has begun, which uses international courts and their investigations as levers of pressure.

"This in no way means that we are going to build an ‘Iron Curtain’ and leave the international legal space, not under any circumstances," Matvienko assured.

"Our decisions are based on the necessity of protecting our national interests and avoiding situations in which we have to implement blatant discriminatory and anti-Russian judicial acts," RIA Novosti cited her as saying.
