UEFA opens case against player of Lokomotiv FC due to T-shirt portraying Putin

A midfielder of Moscow's Lokomotiv FC, Dmitry Tarasov, will be punished for wearing a T-shirt with the image of Russian President Vladimir Putin that he showed after the away match in the last 16 of the finals of the Europa League against Turkey's Fenerbahce FC.

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) opened a case against the player, Tass reports.

A disciplinary penalty will be also imposed on Dmitry Tarasov in accordance with his personal contract with Lokomotiv FC, the text of the statement informs.
