Bashar al-Assad issues decree on general amnesty of deserters

Syrian President Bashar Assad has issued a decree on a general amnesty. It concerns those who deserted during military service until February 17th 2016.

It is worth noting that the decree applies only to offenses provided for by the law on military service.

The Syrian president's amnesty decree comes into force from the moment of its publication, Tass reports.
