Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has asked the Russian government to index regulated prices of medicines from the list of 'Vital Essential and Necessary Drugs'.

The ministry attributed the need for price increases that otherwise Russian producers can stop the production of about 300 medicines. At the moment, the production of 197 items from the list was stopped, Kommersant reports.

According to FAS, it is necessary to increase the price of drugs worth up to 50 rubles by 5 rubles each.
