Ilham Aliyev meets with Mevlut Cavusoglu

The President expressed his condolences to the Foreign Minister and the Turkish people in connection with the terrorist attack in Ankara on February 17. He stressed that Azerbaijan was shocked and in these difficult days the people of Azerbaijan, as always, stand by the Turkish people.
Ilham Aliyev said that the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan called him and said that in connection with the terrorist attack he will not be able to visit Baku. "Of course we understand this. I expressed condolences to him on behalf of the Azerbaijani people," Trend cited him as saying.
Ilham Aliyev added that the next session of the Turkish-Azerbaijani High Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Azerbaijan will be held later. He pointed out that the agenda of the meeting is extensive and many issues will be discussed.
Mevlut Cavusoglu expressed his gratitude for the condolences, and for the fact that in these difficult days the people of Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev personally, as always, stand by the Turkish people.
The Foreign Minister pointed out that the fight against terrorism will be continued. He expressed confidence that the next meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be held in the near future.
